Dr. Magnus Höök
Dr. Höök is a Neva and Wesley West Professor, Regents Professor, and Director of
the Center for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (formerly the Center for Extracellular
Matrix Biology), Institute of Bioscience and Technology, Texas A&M University
System Health Science Center. He earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Medical
Chemistry at the University of Uppsala, Sweden. He has studied the biology of the
extracellular matrix over 30 years using a combination of structural, biochemical,
molecular and cell biological, immunological and genetic approaches.
